Emir Ezwan’s career as a visual artist began after a teenage love affair with the world of graphic novels and music emerging in the mid-Nineties. Though he read for a Bachelor’s in Computer and Electronics Engineering, Emir went on to become co-founder of a multimedia design studio Karyalabs (2007) and a fintech startup Billplz (2009).

In 2012 Emir co-founded Entropy, specialising in visual effects and motion graphics for commercials and films. Emir went into directing in 2013, where he worked on music videos and fashion films for friends.

His critically acclaimed debut feature film, Roh (2019) is available on Netflix, Disney+, and MUBI.

Currently he is diligently developing a few graphic novels, animated short, and feature film ideas.
